Halfway round the world -

A Chinese woman is my exact same age. She, no doubt, has children and grandchildren. She may not have as big a family as ours, because of the Chinese efforts to limit population. But her family cares for as mine does for me. Her health may be impaired, as mine is, or she could be healthier. She probably lives geographically closer to her family than I do.
She may have spent time in jail during political upheavals, or she may have participated in sending others to jail. But I do know one thing for sure. She does not have the freedom I do, nor perhaps the money. But we do have a common humanity, a common experience as women and members of a family. In that we are sisters. And men's pictures are on the faces of our money.

My topical post today at South by Southwest is about the virtual world. At The Reaction it is about Congress.
