STUFF!
My computer gets cluttered just like my house. I like to save things, digital and analog. As a Child of the Depression, I was taught by my frugal German parents not to waste anything. I was also taught to make good use of my time, but I have learned how to procrastinate over the years.
Do I waste time on the computer? Absolutely! Because I am retired I do not mind "wasting time." I love finding free stuff. I love good writing. I love beautiful photographs. I love my Dell notebook computer.
I love little news tidbits that I can share with others. Years ago, I clipped newspaper and magazines. Now I can throw away a newspaper. But I am conttitutionally unable to throw an unclipped magazine in the trash. I can, however, recycle an intact magazine for someone else to read, "not wasting," I tell myself. I still "clip" news items in my computer via two different news aggregators. Fortunately, I do not mind deleting them later, but it takes time.
My roommate has been clearing out a lot of his stuff in recent days. A few minutes ago he came in with the question, "Is today the day?"
My heart dropped because, now that he is through with his stuff, he is ready to help me with mine. I will have to stop procrastinating and clear the clutter in this room, so we can rearrange my furniture. That is another good thing you can do with stuff.
So today must be the day; no more putting it off. I know I will love the new arrangement of my stuff.
