Shy ones

Two for Spring

Shadows hide freshness, crisp green and tender.

Stems poke skyward, supporting the annuals,

A posied duo.

Two virgin blooms peek out for sunlight

Thirsting for dew drops and solar's arrays.

Springing above the confines of earth,

Pale gold at heart and fringed.
