Making good Mondays is like making coffee -

The week is before us - like the coffee pot - waiting to brew. Making it good is a matter of choice, luck, creativity, patience and acceptance of the outcome.

From the mountain top–I see peace

English: Satellite picture of the Mount Olympu...
English: Satellite picture of the Mount Olympus, the highest mountain of Greece. Português: Imagem de satélite do Monte Olímpo, a maior montanha da Grécia. Original caption — Mythical home of Zeus, the Mount Olympus is the highest peak in Greece, at 9,570 feet (2,917 meters). In this winter view, Olympus is the only peak with a dusting of snow, recalling its name in classical Greek, which means “the luminous one.” (Photo credit: Wikipedia)
Every four years the world joins together, in a manner of speaking on Mount Olympus, to hold the Olympic athletic competitions
Summer and Winter, from host country to the next host country, individual and team athletes travel to compete for glory and medals.  The world pauses for a few days.  There is a grand opening pageant.  Athletes feel pride as they march together for their nations.  And the games begin.
People come to cheer in person or they come to their TV sets.  Even non sports fans get engaged.  We root for our own countries or for the little guy, the underdog, the country come out of nowhere to beat the best.
For a little while we are more at peace than normally.
