For those in the Middle East
Who are vulnerable to the ravages of war.
When will religious leaders all be able to stand
Together for peace?
We hope the time will come soon,
Rather than too late.
My friend, L., who has suffered her own losses,
Would "Send white light" into the cauldron
Of conflict and death.
