This is thanks to Fayrouz, one of my longtime favorite bloggers.
- One book that changed your life: I'm OK - You're OK, by Thomas A. Harris, M.D. This book began my pursuit of Transactional Analysis, the therapeutic modality I most favored during my counseling career.
- One book that you've read more than once: The Soul's Code - In Search of Character and Calling, by James Hillman. This wonderful book is about finding one's destiny and then living it out authentically.
- One book that you'd want on a desert island: The Top 500 Poems - a Columbia Anthology, edited by Wm. Harmon. Many of my favorites are all in one place
- One book that made you laugh: The Grass Is Always Greener Over the Septic Tank, by Erma Bombeck. We raised our kids in the 50's and 60's and couldn't have survived without Erma.
- One book that made you cry: The Thorn Birds, by Colleen McCullough. A favorite heart-tugging love story. I also loved From Here to Eternity
- One book you wish had been written: The Eleven Habits of Highly Effective People. Stephen R. Covey's (7) didn't quite do the trick for me.
- One book you wish had never been written: Culture Warrior, by Bill O'Reilly. I wish they had not gone to war with us.
- One book you're currently reading: A Woman's Book of Life - The Biology, Psychology and Spirituality of the Feminine Life Cycle, by Joan Borysenko. Ph.D. I am at the state in life where I need additional perspective on the aging process.
- One book you've been meaning to read: Hubris, by Michael Isikoff and David Corn. I just know it will make my head spin again.
- Now tag five people: Here are some bloggers whose responses would be interesting: Sallie Bailey Child of the Depression Mrs Mogul Twentieth Century Woman lapopessa
