The color of Easter

White is the color of Easter. And pink. And blue. And yellow.

Easter has many colors with which the holiday is associated. The liturgical color is white. Most of us remember the rows of "Easter lillies" making the church look pristine, fresh and festive. The clergy might be wearing white vestments, and the altar would have a white cloth. Easter bunnies are also white.

The other colors are associated with Easter dresses and hats, Easter eggs and Easter party decor. The bright pastels of Spring are beautiful and refreshing, just like the Easter holidays. Those days will be here next weekend. I look forward to them!
